Rubbermaid Laundry and Linen Trolleys

The Rubbermaid X-Cart frame is a collapsible textile cart designed for linen and laundry handling in hotels, spas, and similar hospitality environments. At 150 litres capacity, it provides a practical solution for collecting, transporting, and sorting soiled or clean linen across floors and departments without requiring permanent, full-size trolley storage space.

Where storage space is at a premium, the collapsible design is a genuine operational advantage. Frames can be folded flat when not in use, which is particularly useful in back-of-house areas where corridor access and cupboard space are limited. Despite its lightweight build at 6.8kg, the frame is constructed to Rubbermaid's commercial durability standards, making it well suited to the repeated daily use typical in busy linen rooms and housekeeping operations.

Practical benefits for housekeeping and laundry teams include:

• Collapsible frame reduces storage footprint when carts are not in use
• Lightweight construction aids manoeuvring for housekeeping staff
• 150Ltr capacity handles a solid volume of linen per collection round
• Robust build supports consistent daily use in high-turnover environments
• Compatible with Rubbermaid X-Cart bags and liners for flexible configuration

It is worth noting that this listing covers the frame only. Bags or liner inserts are separate accessories and should be selected to match your specific linen type and workflow. For sites running high volumes across multiple floors or departments, higher-capacity trolley options may be worth considering.

If you are unsure whether the 150Ltr frame is the right fit for your operation, or need guidance on compatible bags and accessories, the team is happy to help you work through the options.

This vinyl cover is designed specifically for use with the Rubbermaid 300L X-Cart frame, providing a fitted protective layer over the cart opening. It is a replacement or additional cover rather than a standalone product, and is only suitable for use with the corresponding X-Cart frame, which is sold separately.

In hotel, hospitality, and linen-handling environments, keeping cart contents covered during transit matters — it reduces contamination risk, maintains hygiene standards, and presents a tidier appearance in guest-facing areas. This cover fits the X-Cart frame securely and is straightforward to fit and remove, making it practical for high-turnover laundry operations where carts are in constant use.

• Vinyl construction wipes clean easily, supporting hygiene protocols
• Fitted design keeps contents covered during corridor and service area transit
• Lightweight at just over 1kg, adding minimal load to the cart
• Suitable for laundry, linen, and general housekeeping trolley applications

This cover is suited to hotels, care homes, leisure facilities, and any operation already running the Rubbermaid X-Cart system. It is a single-cart accessory — for sites running multiple carts, covers can be ordered in the quantities needed.

If you are unsure whether this cover is compatible with your existing X-Cart setup, or if you are looking to put together a complete linen trolley system, feel free to get in touch and we can point you in the right direction.

The Rubbermaid X-Cart is a collapsible linen and laundry trolley designed for housekeeping operations in hotels, spas, care homes, and similar environments where linen handling is a regular, high-frequency task. With a 150-litre capacity, it holds a practical volume of soiled or clean linen without becoming unwieldy in corridor or lift environments.

Where it distinguishes itself in day-to-day use is the collapsible frame. When not in active service, the cart folds down significantly, allowing multiple units to be stored in a fraction of the floor space a conventional rigid trolley would occupy. For operations with limited back-of-house storage, that matters. At 6.8kg, it is light enough for most housekeeping staff to manoeuvre without difficulty, even when navigating tight service corridors or transitioning between floors.

In practical terms, the X-Cart suits operations that need flexibility as much as capacity:

• Collapses flat for compact storage when not in use
• Lightweight construction reduces strain during extended shifts
• Durable build handles the repetitive loading and unloading of busy linen rounds
• Compact footprint when in use suits standard hotel corridors and service lifts
• Suitable for both soiled linen collection and clean linen distribution

It is worth considering that at 150 litres, this is a mid-sized trolley. For larger properties with high room counts or centralised laundry operations processing significant volumes per round, a higher-capacity model may be worth discussing. Equally, for operations with very limited storage, the collapsible design makes this a more practical choice than a fixed-frame alternative of similar capacity.

If you are unsure whether this size suits your linen volumes or staffing setup, we are happy to talk through your operation and help you choose the right fit.

The Rubbermaid X-Cart is a collapsible laundry bag designed for linen and towel handling in hotels, spas, and similar hospitality environments. It operates as a simple, open-top collection bag mounted on a collapsible plastic frame, giving housekeeping and laundry teams a practical way to gather and transport used linen without the bulk of a rigid trolley.

In day-to-day use, the 150-litre capacity is well suited to standard room turnaround workflows — large enough to handle a reasonable linen run from a floor or section, yet light enough that staff can manage it without difficulty. The plastic construction keeps the overall weight low, which helps reduce fatigue during extended shifts.

The collapsible frame is the most operationally useful feature here. When not in use, the cart folds flat, which makes it straightforward to store in linen cupboards, service corridors, or back-of-house areas where space is always at a premium. Key practical points include:

• Collapsible frame folds flat for compact storage in tight back-of-house spaces
• Lightweight plastic construction reduces handling fatigue during long shifts
• 150-litre open bag accommodates a solid linen run without oversizing
• Simple design with no mechanical parts to maintain or replace
• Suitable for hotel rooms, spa changing areas, and similar hospitality settings

There are no installation requirements — the X-Cart arrives ready to use. It is worth noting that this is a lightweight collection bag rather than a heavy-duty transport trolley; for high-volume laundry operations moving large quantities across longer distances, a more substantial wheeled trolley may be a better fit.

This cart is best suited to smaller hospitality operations, individual floors within larger hotels, or spa and leisure facilities where a practical, storable linen bag is needed rather than a full-scale laundry trolley system. If you are unsure whether this capacity suits your workflow, we are happy to help you think it through.

This is the replacement or additional bag for the Rubbermaid X-Cart folding frame system, offered here in black at a 300-litre capacity. The bag is designed to work with the collapsible X-Cart frame, allowing operators to swap bags in and out during service rather than waiting for a single unit to be emptied and returned. It is not a standalone trolley — the frame is sold separately.

In hotel and hospitality environments where linen volumes are high and turnaround times matter, having spare bags in circulation is a practical way to keep housekeeping moving. A soiled bag can be removed and sent directly to the laundry, while a clean bag is immediately fitted to the frame and returned to service. This avoids the frame sitting idle and keeps trolleys in rotation across floors or service areas.

• Fits the Rubbermaid X-Cart folding frame (sold separately)
• 300-litre capacity suited to high-volume linen collection rounds
• Lightweight at under 1kg, easy to carry when unloaded
• Black finish suitable for back-of-house and linen room use
• Collapsible design stores flat when not in use

It is worth confirming compatibility with your existing frame before ordering, particularly if your current X-Cart setup is an older configuration. If you are unsure whether this bag is the right fit for your trolley system or if you need guidance on how many bags make sense for your operation, the team is happy to help work through that with you.
