The Mitre Comfort Simplicity bed runner is a straightforward textile accent piece designed for hotel guest rooms. Cut to double bed width, it sits across the foot of the bed to add a layer of visual finish without requiring a full linen overhaul. The chocolate colourway is a neutral, versatile choice that works well against both light and dark base linen.

Made from a 100% polyester silk-effect trevia fabric, the runner has a clean drape and holds its appearance through repeated laundering — an important practical consideration in high-turnover housekeeping operations. It is blackout lined, which adds a degree of body and helps the runner lie flat without bunching. The fabric carries a fire retardant finish, meeting the safety requirements expected in commercial hospitality environments.

  • Washable construction suited to regular in-house laundering cycles
  • Fire retardant finish for commercial hospitality compliance
  • Blackout lining adds structure and keeps the runner lying flat
  • Available across a wide colour range if a coordinated scheme is required

As a single decorative item, the runner works well on its own, but properties looking to create a more consistent room aesthetic may find it worth considering alongside other pieces from the same Simplicity range. The chocolate shade is one of a broad palette, so matching or contrasting options are available if colour coordination across room types matters.

If you are outfitting multiple rooms or planning a full soft-furnishings refresh and want to discuss quantities or colour combinations, we are happy to help you work through the options.

Frequently asked questions

Is this runner suitable for high-turnover hotel housekeeping operations?

Yes. The washable construction and durable polyester fabric make it a practical choice for properties that launder linen frequently. It is designed to hold its appearance through regular wash cycles rather than being a delicate decorative item.

Does the fire retardant finish comply with UK commercial hospitality requirements?

The runner carries a fire retardant finish appropriate for use in commercial hotel guest rooms. If you have specific compliance requirements for your property, it is worth confirming with your fire safety adviser that the specification meets your site obligations.

Can this runner be used as part of a coordinated room scheme across different bed sizes?

The Simplicity range is available in multiple sizes, so if you are outfitting rooms with different bed configurations it is worth checking which sizes are available to ensure consistency. The chocolate colourway is one of a broad palette, which gives flexibility when coordinating across room types or tiers.
