The SYR extension pole is a straightforward reaching tool designed for cleaning high windows and elevated surfaces in commercial premises. Extending to 1,250mm, it allows operatives to access glass, frames, and high-level surfaces from floor level, reducing the need for steps or ladders during routine cleaning tasks.

At 440g, the pole is light enough to use comfortably over extended periods without causing fatigue — a practical consideration in sites where window cleaning is part of a regular daily or weekly regime. The extending design means it can be stored compactly when not in use, which matters in kitchens and back-of-house areas where storage space is often limited.

Typical uses include cleaning internal and external ground-floor windows, partition glass, extraction canopy panels, and other elevated hard surfaces that form part of a cleaning schedule. It is commonly paired with compatible SYR mop or scrubber heads, though compatibility with specific attachments should be confirmed before ordering.

This pole suits smaller commercial kitchens, cafés, front-of-house areas, and any site where routine glass or high-level surface cleaning is carried out by in-house staff. For sites with significantly higher ceilings or more demanding reach requirements, a longer or more heavy-duty pole may be more appropriate.

If you are unsure whether this pole is compatible with your existing SYR cleaning kit, or whether the reach suits your specific premises, feel free to get in touch — we are happy to point you in the right direction.

Frequently asked questions

What cleaning heads are compatible with this extension pole?

The SYR extension pole is designed to work with compatible SYR scrubber and mop heads from the same system range. We would recommend confirming compatibility with your existing attachments before ordering, as head fittings can vary across the range — our team can advise if needed.

Is this pole suitable for cleaning extraction canopies and high kitchen surfaces?

At 1,250mm extended length, the pole is well suited to cleaning internal windows, partition glass, and low-to-mid-height elevated surfaces such as canopy panels and tiled splashbacks. For significantly higher installations, a longer-reach pole may be more appropriate.

How does this pole hold up under regular daily commercial use?

The pole is designed for routine commercial cleaning use and is a practical choice for sites where window and surface cleaning forms part of a daily or weekly schedule. For sites with particularly intensive cleaning regimes or heavy-duty requirements, it is worth discussing whether a more robust option would better suit the workload.
