Mitre
Mitre Oasis Satin Band Tablecloth 1780 x 3650mm Egyptian Cotton
£39.00(£46.80 inc VAT)
The Mitre Oasis tablecloth is a heavyweight 100% Egyptian cotton damask cloth finished with a satin band border. The cloth is white and woven to a thread count of 135 with a yarn count of 30/2, giving it a firm, crisp handle that presents well on a dressed table. At 210g/m², it sits at the heavier end of the cotton linen range, which contributes to how cleanly it lies and how well it holds its drape through a busy service.
In practice, heavier cotton linen at this weight launders reliably over repeated commercial wash cycles and tends to soften gradually without losing its structure. The satin band runs on two sides of this rectangular cloth, providing a defined finish that reads well under dining room lighting and requires no additional dressing to look correct on a formally laid table.
This cloth is primarily suited to banqueting and formal restaurant covers where longer table formats are in use. The 1780 x 3650mm size is appropriate for large banquet tables or extended top tables, and operators should measure their table dimensions carefully before ordering — particularly drop length, which will vary depending on table height and the presentation style required.
It is worth noting that cotton linen at this weight does require proper laundering and pressing to perform at its best. Operations without access to a suitable laundry arrangement should factor in linen hire or contract laundering costs alongside the purchase price.
If you are unsure whether this size suits your table configuration or service style, or if you are equipping a venue for the first time, our team is happy to talk through what works best for your covers.

Frequently asked questions
How do I work out whether this cloth size suits my tables?
Measure your table length and width, then add twice the desired drop length to each dimension. A typical formal drop runs between 230mm and 300mm on each side, though banquet and top table presentations sometimes use a full floor-length drop. If you are between sizes or setting up a new venue, it is worth discussing your table dimensions with us before ordering.
What laundering approach does this cloth require?
Cotton damask at this weight performs best when commercially laundered and pressed or calendered — the satin band finish in particular benefits from professional finishing to maintain its appearance. Operations without an in-house laundry facility typically contract this to a linen service provider, which is worth factoring into your cost-per-cover calculation.
Is this cloth suitable for everyday restaurant use or primarily for events?
It is well suited to both, provided laundering is handled correctly. Banqueting and events operations that turn over linen in volume tend to find heavier cotton cloths at this weight more economical over time due to reduced replacement frequency. For à la carte restaurants running covers daily, the same applies, though the laundering infrastructure needs to be in place to keep presentation standards consistent.
