Tefcold Serve Over Counters

The Tefcold TAVIRA II 130F is a slimline serve over counter display refrigerator designed for front-of-house chilled food presentation. Its reduced depth footprint makes it a practical consideration for operations where counter space is at a premium — delis, café counters, farm shops, and smaller food retail environments where a full-width serve over would simply not fit.

The unit uses static cooling to maintain a consistent cabinet temperature, which suits the display of pre-packaged chilled foods, sandwiches, salads, and similar products. Static systems run quietly and avoid the airflow that can dry out unpackaged items — a practical advantage in open-display settings. The digital temperature controller allows staff to monitor conditions at a glance without opening the cabinet.

From an operational standpoint, the TAVIRA II 130F offers a number of day-to-day advantages worth noting:

• Flat glass front panel maintains clear product visibility without distortion
• Interior lighting with switch highlights displayed products clearly during service
• Ambient shelf provides additional unrefrigerated display space above the main cabinet
• Hinged rear door to under-counter storage supports quick restocking without disrupting the display
• 13A rear socket accommodates a till or scales without additional wiring runs

Installation is straightforward for a unit of this type — it requires a standard 13A single-phase supply and no specialist electrical work in most cases. Adjustable feet allow it to sit level on uneven floor surfaces, which is a common consideration in older retail or hospitality premises. Being a static-cooled unit, there is no condenser airflow to manage in the same way as a fan-assisted model, though adequate ambient ventilation around the cabinet remains good practice.

This model is well suited to lower-volume display requirements where space is the primary constraint. Operators running a busier counter service, or those needing to hold a greater volume of chilled product throughout a long service period, may find a wider or higher-capacity serve over better matches their throughput. It is worth considering your peak display load and restocking frequency before committing to a size.

If you are unsure whether the TAVIRA II 130F is the right fit for your counter layout or service volume, our team is happy to talk it through with you.

The Tefcold TAVIRA II 150F is a slimline refrigerated serve over counter designed for food retail and catering display environments where counter space is limited but product presentation still matters. It combines a front-facing chilled display area with an under-counter refrigerated storage compartment, keeping both displayed and reserve stock at safe serving temperatures within the same unit.

Cooling is handled through a fully automatic static system, which avoids the air movement associated with fan-assisted units — a practical advantage when displaying uncovered products such as patisserie, prepared foods, or deli items where surface drying is a concern. The interior lighting with a dedicated switch helps product visibility without requiring any external display fittings, and the flat glass profile keeps the sightlines clean for both operator and customer.

From an operational standpoint, this counter suits lower to mid-volume service points well. Key practical features include:

• Digital controller with temperature display for straightforward monitoring
• Acrylic sliding rear doors for easy access during service
• Ambient top shelf for additional non-refrigerated display space
• Stainless steel rear shelf and deck for durability and ease of cleaning
• 13A rear socket for connecting scales, a till, or ancillary equipment

Installation is relatively straightforward — the unit runs from a standard 13A supply and the adjustable feet allow it to sit level on uneven floor surfaces. It is worth confirming your available counter run and the intended product load before ordering, as the slimline footprint suits tighter spaces but does limit display capacity compared to wider serve over formats.

This counter is well suited to delis, farm shops, bakeries, hotel breakfast counters, and smaller food service operations. For sites with higher throughput or a need for a longer display run, a wider or multi-deck alternative may be more appropriate.

The Tefcold TAVIRA II 200F is a slimline refrigerated serve over counter designed for operators who need a presentable, functional display unit without the footprint of a full-width counter. It uses static cooling to maintain consistent temperatures across the display area, which is well suited to chilled prepared foods, deli products, sandwiches, and similar ambient or cold-hold lines.

In a working service environment, static cooling offers the practical advantage of running quietly and without the airflow that can dry out unpackaged produce. The unit is built for counter-top food display rather than high-throughput blast environments, making it a reliable choice for cafés, delis, food-to-go outlets, and smaller hospitality operations where presentation and food safety need to work together throughout the day.

From an operational standpoint, the TAVIRA II 200F offers a number of practical benefits worth considering:

• Flat glass panel keeps the display visible and easy to clean at the end of service
• Digital temperature controller allows straightforward monitoring without specialist knowledge
• Interior lighting highlights displayed products clearly throughout the trading day
• Ambient shelf provides a designated area for non-refrigerated items alongside chilled lines
• Rear 13A socket allows scales or a till to be positioned neatly at the counter
• Refrigerated understorage with hinged door gives accessible space for backup stock
• Adjustable feet allow the unit to sit level on uneven or tiled floor surfaces

Installation is straightforward — the unit runs from a standard 13A socket, so no dedicated electrical supply or specialist trade installation is required. As a slimline unit, it is designed for operations where counter space is at a premium, though it is worth measuring your available run carefully before ordering. This is not a unit suited to very high-volume continuous display, and for busier sites handling larger quantities, a heavier-duty or wider serve over counter may be a more appropriate choice.

The TAVIRA II 200F is particularly well suited to independent cafés, sandwich bars, delicatessens, farm shops, and smaller hospitality venues looking for a neat, practical display unit that covers both front-of-house presentation and accessible back-up storage in a compact form.

The Tefcold TAVIRA II 100F is a slimline serve over counter built for displaying chilled food at the point of sale. It combines a refrigerated display area with under-counter storage, an ambient shelf for non-refrigerated items, and a compact footprint that makes it a practical choice where counter or floor space is at a premium.

Static cooling maintains consistent temperatures throughout the display without the noise or airflow associated with fan-assisted systems. In front-of-house settings where the unit sits in close contact with customers, that quieter operation is a genuine day-to-day advantage. It is worth noting that static cooling is better suited to sites with moderate customer flow — units that see very frequent loading or heavy door traffic will generally recover temperature more slowly than a fan-assisted alternative.

From an operational standpoint, the TAVIRA II 100F brings together several practical features in a single cabinet:

• Flat glass front provides a clean display line and wipes down easily between service periods
• Acrylic sliding rear doors allow staff to access and replenish stock without disturbing the customer-facing display
• Interior lighting with a simple switch improves product visibility and presentation throughout the trading day
• Ambient shelf above the chilled section accommodates packaged or non-refrigerated items without a separate unit
• Rear-mounted 13A socket keeps a till or set of scales powered at the counter without additional trailing cables

The unit runs from a standard 13A socket, so there are no specialist electrical requirements to plan around before installation. Adjustable feet allow for minor levelling, which is a useful consideration in older buildings or converted retail units where floors are rarely perfectly flat. As a static-cooled cabinet, ducted ventilation is not required, though reasonable ambient airflow around the unit should be maintained to support efficient operation.

This counter is well suited to delis, farm shops, cafés, and food retail environments with moderate footfall where a tidy, compact presentation is the priority. It is not designed for high-volume service counters where constant door traffic and frequent heavy restocking are the norm — for those environments, a fan-assisted or larger-capacity model would typically serve better.

If you are working out whether this unit fits your counter layout or service style, we are glad to talk it through before you place an order.

The Tefcold Tavira II 100 is a slimline serve over counter designed for food service environments where counter space is at a premium but chilled product presentation still needs to work hard. It combines a refrigerated display section with under-counter storage in a compact footprint, making it a practical option for cafés, delis, sandwich bars, and food-to-go operations that need a presentable chilled display without committing to a larger counter run.

The unit uses static automatic cooling rather than fan-assisted refrigeration, which means there is no constant airflow moving across the display. This suits operators presenting unwrapped products — cold meats, prepared salads, filled rolls, or pastries — where fan cooling can dry out product surfaces or disturb lightweight packaging during service. Temperature consistency is maintained without that trade-off, though it is worth noting that static cooling systems recover more slowly after the display has been opened repeatedly during a busy service. For outlets with high customer throughput and very frequent lid access, a fan-cooled equivalent may hold temperature more reliably under pressure.

From a day-to-day operational standpoint, the Tavira II 100 includes several features that contribute to a smoother service:

• Acrylic sliding rear doors allow quick staff access while keeping the display enclosed between serves
• Interior lighting with a dedicated switch improves product visibility without adding meaningful heat load to the cabinet
• Stainless steel rear shelf and deck surfaces support hygiene standards and make end-of-day cleaning straightforward
• An ambient shelf above the display provides space for packaging, menus, or ambient merchandise
• A rear-mounted 13-amp socket allows a till or set of scales to sit at the counter without additional cabling runs

Being a 13-amp plug-in unit, installation is as straightforward as it gets — no dedicated electrical supply, no specialist commissioning, and no additional infrastructure. The slimline profile is well suited to front-of-house positions where every centimetre of counter space counts, though it is worth measuring your available footprint carefully before ordering, particularly if the unit is going into a fixed counter run or a tight service area.

This model is best suited to smaller independent operations — cafés, delis, farm shops, and food-to-go outlets — where a compact, reliable serve over counter is needed without the scale of a larger installation. For higher-volume sites, longer service periods, or operators who need a greater display run, a higher-capacity model would be worth considering.

If you are weighing up whether static or fan-assisted cooling is the right fit for your service style, or want to confirm the dimensions work for your counter layout, the team are happy to talk it through before you commit.
