These thermal till rolls from Olympia are a straightforward, practical consumable for cash registers and electronic point of sale printers. The 80x72mm format is one of the most widely used sizes in commercial hospitality environments, and the thermal coating means no ink ribbon is required — the paper reacts directly to the print head's heat to produce a clear, legible receipt.

For a busy front-of-house operation, having a reliable stock of compatible till rolls on hand avoids the minor but disruptive problem of running out mid-service. Supplied in a pack of 20, the quantity suits most small to medium operations looking to maintain a sensible working stock without over-ordering.

  • Thermal paper — no ink or ribbon required
  • 80x72mm format compatible with a wide range of EPOS and cash register systems
  • Pack of 20 rolls for practical stock management
  • Produces clear, legible receipts consistently

Before ordering in bulk, it is worth confirming the roll dimensions against your specific till or printer model — while 80x72mm is a common standard, printer manufacturers occasionally specify slight variations in core diameter or roll width tolerance. If you are unsure which specification your system requires, we are happy to help you confirm compatibility.

Frequently asked questions

Will these till rolls fit my existing cash register or EPOS printer?

The 80x72mm format is one of the most common specifications for commercial till and EPOS systems, but it is always worth checking your printer's manual or the roll currently in use before ordering. The key measurements to confirm are the paper width and the outer diameter of the roll — minor variations in core size can affect compatibility with some machines.

Do thermal till rolls require any special storage conditions?

Thermal paper is sensitive to prolonged exposure to heat, direct sunlight, and humidity, all of which can cause the coating to degrade and affect print quality. Storing rolls in a cool, dry location away from direct light will help maintain their condition and ensure consistent performance when in use.

Is a pack of 20 enough for a busy hospitality site?

For most small to medium operations — a café, bar, or small restaurant — a pack of 20 provides a practical working stock. Higher-volume sites processing a large number of transactions daily may find it more efficient to hold a greater quantity in reserve, particularly to avoid running short during busy trading periods.
