The Utopia Moda goblet is part of a well-established stemware range built for commercial hospitality use. Each goblet holds 350ml and is crafted from fully toughened glass, which gives it meaningfully greater resistance to breakage during handling, service, and glasswasher cycles compared to standard annealed glassware.
In busy bar and food service environments, glassware takes a great deal of punishment — from rapid turnaround through commercial glasswashers to the handling pressures of a full evening's service. The toughened construction of the Moda range holds up well under these conditions, and should a glass break, it is designed to crumble rather than shatter into dangerous shards, which is a practical safety consideration in any licensed premises.
The goblet format suits a range of drinks presentations — cocktails, wine, soft drinks, and dessert beverages — making it a versatile choice for venues that need a single stemware style to cover multiple service occasions. Key practical points worth noting:
- Fully toughened glass for improved resistance to thermal and mechanical shock
- Dishwasher safe for high-turnover service environments
- Goblet shape supports a broad range of drinks presentations
- Supplied in packs of 12, practical for stocking by cover count
- Clear glass suits most table settings without imposing a style
The Moda range is a sensible choice for pubs, bars, casual dining venues, and event caterers who need reliable, presentable stemware at a practical price point. For very high-volume venues or those requiring a more premium aesthetic, it is worth reviewing other options within the range before committing to quantity.
If you are unsure how many packs to order relative to your cover count or glasswasher capacity, the team are happy to talk it through.
Frequently asked questions
How many packs do I need for my cover count?
A common working guide is to hold two to three times your seated cover count in glassware to allow for glasses in use, those in the glasswasher cycle, and a buffer for breakages. For a 40-cover venue, 8 to 10 packs of 12 would be a reasonable starting point, though this depends on your service style and glasswasher turnaround time.
Is toughened glass suitable for commercial glasswashers?
Yes — the Moda goblets are rated dishwasher safe and are designed to withstand the thermal cycling of commercial glasswashers. Toughened glass is generally more resistant to the rapid temperature changes involved than standard glassware, making it a practical choice for venues running continuous wash cycles during service.
Is this range suitable for outdoor or event service?
The toughened construction makes these goblets a reasonable choice for outdoor dining and event catering where glassware is more exposed to knocks and handling. That said, for very high-risk environments such as festivals or large-scale outdoor events, it is worth considering whether a polycarbonate alternative would be more appropriate from a safety and loss perspective.
