Churchill Stonecast Aqueous Lagoon Coupe Plates (Box of 12)

The Churchill Stonecast Aqueous Lagoon coupe plate is a rimless plate in super vitrified porcelain from Churchill's Stonecast Aqueous range, available in four sizes: a 6.5" side plate, 8⅔", 10¼" and 11¼". It has a hand-applied turquoise glaze that draws on the tones of coastal lagoon water. Each plate carries a degree of individual tonal variation from the hand finishing, which tends to read as considered and artisan rather than mass-produced. The coupe profile has a minimal rim, giving a clean, contemporary surface for modern plating styles.

Super vitrified porcelain has a denser, less porous body than standard porcelain, with better resistance to chipping, which matters where plates go through commercial dishwashers, stacking and daily pass handling.

Choosing a size:

• 6.5" side plate: most commonly used as a side, bread or starter plate
• 8⅔": works as a starter, side or bread plate depending on the menu
• 10¼": a main course plate with generous plating room
• 11¼": a large-format plate for generous portions or detailed plating arrangements

Slight variation between individual plates is inherent to the hand-applied glaze, so it is worth explaining to front-of-house teams that it is a characteristic of the finish. If you are working through a full table setting, the team is happy to talk it through.
