The Olympia Kiln mug is a porcelain mug finished with a reactive glaze, so no two pieces carry exactly the same surface pattern or tone. It comes in five colours: Chalk, an off-white with subtle variation across each piece; Moss, Ocean (muted blue and grey tones) and Sandstone (natural, earthy tones), all from the same earthy, muted palette; and Smoke, a darker grey-brown finish. The colours are designed to be mixed and matched on the same table. Each mug holds 340ml, a practical size for filter coffee, flat whites and tea service, and they are sold in packs of six.

Porcelain suits front-of-house mug use. It holds heat reasonably well, and the glazed surface is straightforward to clean in a commercial dishwasher under normal use. The Kiln range is mid-weight tableware rather than a heavy-duty catering mug, with a sensible balance between durability and presentation. Because the glaze varies from piece to piece, mugs from different batch orders may show subtle tonal differences.

  • Reactive glaze gives each piece a distinctive, individually varied finish
  • Porcelain construction for durability in daily commercial service
  • Dishwasher safe for straightforward back-of-house cleaning
  • Consistent 340ml capacity across all five colours
  • Colours coordinate across the Kiln range for a mixed table setting
  • Pack of six suits both initial setup and topping up stock

Like all glazed porcelain, the Kiln range benefits from being stacked with care to avoid chipping the rim, which is worth bearing in mind when training front-of-house and wash-up staff.

These mugs are well suited to independent cafés, farm shops, bistros, hotel breakfast services and casual dining venues where the table aesthetic leans towards natural or artisan styling. They are less likely to suit formal dining or branded hotel operations where a uniform, classic white finish is expected, and they are not aimed at the toughest high-volume canteen environments.

If you are building a full table setting or want to discuss colour combinations and pack quantities, the team is happy to help.
