Robert Gordon Forager Bowls Reactive Glaze Stoneware (Box of 48)
£114.00(£136.80 inc VAT)
The Robert Gordon Forager bowl is a small vitrified stoneware bowl finished with a reactive glaze that flows freely during firing, so every piece has its own tonal variation. The base is left unglazed, which shows the natural stoneware body and gives the range its handcrafted look. It comes in two sizes: 57mm across with a 30ml capacity, and 83mm across.
Both sizes are intended for small portions: amuse-bouche, pre-dessert, sauces, condiments, side dishes, petit desserts and tasting-menu courses. They are not sized for mains, pasta or soup. The organic finish suits casual dining, modern bistro and farm-to-table concepts where the tableware is expected to feel considered rather than uniform.
Vitrified stoneware is denser and more chip-resistant than standard earthenware, and it holds up well through regular commercial dishwasher cycles. Because each piece carries its own glaze variation, minor differences in finish are a design feature rather than a quality issue, so it is worth briefing front-of-house teams before the range goes on the floor.
- Reactive glaze gives each piece a unique finish
- Unglazed base shows the natural stoneware body
- Vitrified stoneware resists chipping under regular commercial use
- Two sizes: 57mm (30ml) and 83mm
- Supplied in a box of 48
If you are building a table setting around the Forager range or want to confirm which size suits a specific menu item, the team is happy to talk it through.
