Castelli

The Castelli Restaurant Diary is a purpose-designed front-of-house booking diary for restaurants and similar hospitality operations that manage table reservations across lunch and dinner sittings. It comes in red or black. Each page accommodates up to 35 table bookings, with a grid layout that lets staff take in the full picture of a sitting at a glance.

In a busy service environment, a clear and consistent booking record matters. The page layout includes columns for special requirements, booking date and staff initials, which helps reduce miscommunication between front-of-house and kitchen teams. The at-a-glance grid is particularly useful during peak periods, when a host or manager needs to assess availability quickly without working through a list.

• Two colours: red and black
• Up to 35 bookings per page, covering both lunch and dinner sittings
• Special requirements column helps flag dietary needs or access requests in advance
• Initials column supports accountability and handover between staff
• Grid format allows rapid visual assessment of table availability
• No reliance on software or power, so it works as a backup or primary record

The diary is A4 (297mm high by 210mm wide), a practical size for a host station or reception desk without taking up excessive counter space. It needs no installation or setup and works independently of any booking software, making it a useful backup for operations that use digital systems, or a primary tool for smaller venues that prefer a paper-based approach.

Well suited to independent restaurants, bistros, private dining rooms and smaller hospitality venues managing their own reservations manually. The layout is built around two sittings, lunch and dinner. Operations running higher volumes, multiple rooms, complex event bookings or a regular third sitting may find a more expansive format or a digital reservation system better suited, alongside or instead of a paper diary.

If you are unsure whether this suits your front-of-house setup, the team is happy to help you think it through.
