Pujadas Hercules Aluminium Fry Pan Ø220mm Non-Stick
£15.44(£18.53 inc VAT)
The Pujadas Hercules is a professional aluminium frying pan built for daily use in commercial kitchens. The 220mm diameter makes it a practical size for single portions and smaller pan work — well suited to à la carte service where a compact, responsive pan is preferable to a larger one. The aluminium construction heats quickly and evenly, and the 4mm base thickness gives it enough mass to hold heat without being cumbersome during service.
The multi-layer non-stick coating is applied professionally and is rated for resistance to abrasion, which matters in a kitchen where pans are used repeatedly across long shifts and cleaned under pressure. The coating is PFOA-free, meeting current professional kitchen standards. In practice, it performs reliably for sautéing, shallow frying and gentle reductions, and is compatible with gas, electric and vitroceramic heat sources.
The Hercules handle is made from flat iron with an epoxy heat-resistant coating — a traditional, no-nonsense design that is straightforward to clean and holds up well under intensive use. It is not a silicone or plastic-grip handle, which suits operators who prefer a classic professional feel and need a pan that can be passed briefly into or near an oven without concern about the handle.
A few practical points worth noting: the plain base means this pan is not induction-compatible, so it is unsuitable for induction hob installations. For kitchens running higher volumes or requiring a larger cooking surface, a heavier-gauge or larger-diameter pan from the same range may be a better fit.
If you are equipping a new kitchen or restocking your pan inventory and want guidance on which sizes and quantities make sense for your service style, we are happy to help you work through it.

Frequently asked questions
Is this pan suitable for use on induction hobs?
No — the Hercules range features a plain aluminium base, which is not induction-compatible. It works well on gas, electric ring and vitroceramic surfaces, but if your kitchen runs induction hobs you would need to look at a pan with a magnetic steel or clad base instead.
How does the 220mm size fit into a typical à la carte kitchen?
The 220mm diameter is well suited to single-portion work — sautéing vegetables, finishing proteins or preparing sauces to order. Kitchens that also need to handle larger portions or multi-portion pan work would typically carry a range of sizes alongside it, and a larger diameter from the same Hercules range may be worth considering for those tasks.
How should the non-stick coating be maintained to get the longest service life?
Avoiding metal utensils and high-heat seasoning will help preserve the coating significantly. Hand washing with a non-abrasive cloth is preferable to commercial dishwasher cycles where possible, as repeated high-temperature machine washing can degrade professional non-stick coatings over time. Storing pans without stacking directly onto the coated surface also extends coating life in a busy kitchen environment.
