Designline Drop-In Multideck Refrigerated Display 1525mm
£5,256.00(£6,307.20 inc VAT)
The Designline Drop-In Multideck is a self-service refrigerated display unit built to sit flush within a countertop or servery installation. At 1525mm wide, it combines three adjustable toughened glass shelves for eye-level product display with a four-well chilled base, giving operators meaningful display capacity without requiring a freestanding unit on the floor. The underslung condensing unit vents through grilles and a rear vent supplied with the unit, keeping the front of the display clean and unobstructed throughout service.
The unit is designed for 24-hour continuous operation and holds a consistent food core temperature across both the shelved display and the GN well, which matters for food safety compliance during busy periods and when stock is rotated at the counter. Recovery after restocking is steady, and the R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant charge is relatively modest, which helps keep daily running costs in check compared with units using older refrigerant types.
From a day-to-day operational standpoint, the design keeps maintenance straightforward:
- Each shelf adjusts in both height and angle to suit different product sizes and presentation arrangements
- Front-edge product stops and 40mm ticket strips on each shelf support clear, tidy merchandising
- Modular removable deck plates allow thorough cleaning without tools
- An integral condensate evaporator removes the need for a dedicated drain connection on site
- Diffused gantry lighting and a polished perforated steel back panel give clear product visibility without harsh hotspots
Installation requires a wall-sited countertop with adequate clearance behind for the rear vent and underslung condensing unit. The unit arrives with air inlet grilles, rear vent, and a 2m lead and plug top, allowing connection to a standard 13A supply without specialist electrical work in most cases. At 195kg, the included lifting kit should be used as directed during installation — do not attempt to position the unit without appropriate equipment and sufficient hands. The noise output is worth considering for quieter café or retail environments where ambient sound levels are low.
This multideck is well suited to delis, cafés, convenience stores, staff restaurants, and similar operations where self-service chilled display is needed within an existing countertop or servery setup. It performs reliably at moderate to high service volumes. Sites with a tighter counter footprint or lower throughput may find a smaller model a better fit, while very high-volume operations with extensive chilled ranges may benefit from a larger-capacity unit.
If you are working through a countertop installation or want to confirm this unit suits your available space and service pattern, our team is happy to work through the details with you before you place an order.

Frequently asked questions
Is the 1525mm width suitable for a standard servery counter installation?
The unit is designed to drop into a wall-sited countertop, and 1525mm is a practical width for many servery and deli counter configurations. That said, the underslung condensing unit and rear vent need clear access behind the counter, so it is worth confirming your counter depth and rear clearance before ordering — our team can help you check the fit against your existing setup.
Does the unit require any specialist electrical or plumbing connections on site?
In most cases, no. The unit ships with a 2m lead and plug top for connection to a standard 13A supply, and the integral condensate evaporator means there is no requirement for a dedicated drain. You will need to ensure the rear vent and air inlet grilles have adequate clearance, but the installation is generally straightforward for a competent fit-out team.
How does this unit perform during busy service periods when stock is being replenished frequently?
The unit is built for 24-hour continuous operation and maintains a stable food core temperature across both the shelved display and the GN well during normal restocking cycles. Recovery after stock rotation is steady rather than instant, so high-turnover sites restocking very frequently throughout a session should factor that into their display management — if throughput is particularly heavy, it is worth discussing whether a higher-capacity unit would be a better match.
