This clear polycarbonate lid is designed to pair with Pujadas 1/2 GN buffet display pieces, providing a straightforward cover that keeps food protected while keeping it fully visible to guests. It is a simple, functional item that does a specific job well in buffet and counter service environments.

In practical terms, a well-fitted lid helps maintain food presentation standards during service, reduces the rate at which food dries out or cools, and acts as a hygiene barrier in open buffet settings where the food is accessible to guests. The clear polycarbonate construction means guests and staff can see the contents without lifting the lid unnecessarily, which helps keep presentation tidy throughout service.

  • Keeps food covered and visible simultaneously during buffet service
  • Reduces contamination risk in self-service and attended buffet layouts
  • Helps slow heat and moisture loss between replenishment cycles
  • Polycarbonate construction is robust enough for daily handling in catering environments
  • Designed to fit the Pujadas 1/2 GN display range for a neat, consistent look

It is worth confirming compatibility with your specific Pujadas display pieces before ordering, as lid fitment can vary across product lines. This lid is intended for use with the Pujadas buffet display range and may not be a universal fit for other GN-format display systems.

This lid suits hotels, contract caterers, hospitality venues, and any operation running a buffet or food display counter in a 1/2 GN format. If you are building out a larger display or need covers across multiple GN sizes, it is worth reviewing the wider Pujadas lid range to keep the presentation consistent.

If you are unsure whether this lid is compatible with the display pieces you already have, our team is happy to help you check before you order.

Frequently asked questions

Will this lid fit GN containers from other manufacturers?

This lid is designed to pair with the Pujadas buffet display range and is not guaranteed to fit GN containers or display pieces from other manufacturers. GN dimensions are standardised, but lid profiles and rim depths can vary, so it is worth confirming compatibility before ordering if you are using non-Pujadas display pieces.

Is polycarbonate suitable for use in hot buffet display setups?

Polycarbonate lids of this type are generally suited to ambient and cold buffet displays rather than direct contact with high-heat chafing setups. If your display involves heated bases or high surface temperatures, it is worth checking the specific heat tolerance before use to avoid distortion over time.

How should this lid be cleaned and maintained in a commercial kitchen?

Polycarbonate lids like this are typically cleaned by hand washing with a non-abrasive cloth and mild detergent. Harsh scouring pads or strong chemical cleaners can cause surface scratching or hazing over time, which reduces clarity and affects presentation. Checking the manufacturer's care guidance before putting polycarbonate items through a commercial dishwasher is advisable, as high temperatures and aggressive detergents can shorten their service life.
