Anti-Fatigue Mats

This is a rubber anti-fatigue mat from Coba, designed to be placed in standing work areas where kitchen staff spend extended periods on their feet. The raised bubble surface profile encourages subtle, continuous micro-movements in the feet and legs, which helps stimulate blood circulation and reduce the physical fatigue associated with prolonged standing on hard floors.

In a commercial kitchen environment, staff routinely stand at prep stations, service pass areas, dishwash positions, and cooking lines for several hours at a stretch. Hard kitchen floors — whether tiled, concrete, or resin — offer no give, and over a full shift this contributes to leg and lower back fatigue. A mat of this type is a straightforward, low-cost intervention that can make a measurable difference to staff comfort and, by extension, sustained concentration and performance during service.

• Rubber construction is durable and well suited to kitchen floor conditions
• Bubble surface profile promotes circulation during static standing
• Sized to cover a single workstation position comfortably
• Black finish is practical in a kitchen environment and resists visible soiling
• No installation required — place and use

It is worth considering the floor surface where the mat will be used. On smooth, level floors the mat will sit stably, but on uneven surfaces or near drainage channels, placement should be checked to avoid a trip hazard at the edges. The mat is suitable for a single standing position; busier or longer run areas may be better served by a longer mat or multiple units placed end to end.

This mat is well suited to any commercial kitchen operation where staff wellbeing and day-to-day comfort are a consideration. It is a practical addition to prep areas, service positions, and bar or counter environments alike.

If you are looking to specify mats across multiple stations or need guidance on the right size or quantity for your kitchen layout, our team is happy to help you work through the options.

The COBA rubber anti-fatigue mat is a straightforward, practical solution for kitchen environments where staff spend long periods standing at a fixed workstation. Made from solid rubber, it provides a cushioned surface that reduces the cumulative strain on feet, legs, and lower back — a common issue in high-volume kitchens where preparation and service staff rarely move away from a set position for hours at a time.

In a working kitchen, the difference a good anti-fatigue mat makes is most noticeable during long service periods. The rubber construction absorbs impact underfoot, which helps reduce fatigue during prep shifts, service periods, or any role that keeps a team member standing in one place. The perforated design aids drainage and airflow, which is useful in areas where minor spills or cleaning runoff are routine. The bevelled edges reduce the risk of staff catching a foot on the mat edge — a small but worthwhile detail in a busy kitchen environment.

• Rubber construction provides durable cushioning underfoot for standing positions
• Perforated surface aids drainage and reduces pooling in wet areas
• Bevelled edges reduce trip risk in high-footfall areas
• Suitable for use on hard flooring including tiles, concrete, and resin
• Weighing 6.65kg, it sits firmly without requiring fixing to the floor

This mat is well suited to prep areas, dishwash stations, bar service positions, and front-of-house counters — anywhere a staff member is stationary for extended periods. The 800 x 1200mm footprint covers a single workstation position comfortably. For longer runs, such as a full prep line or extended service counter, multiple mats can be laid end to end. For environments with heavier use or more demanding drainage requirements, it is worth considering whether a heavier-duty or larger-format option would be more appropriate.

If you are unsure which mat configuration best suits your kitchen layout or flooring type, we are happy to talk it through.

The COBA Hygimat is a solid, closed-cell anti-fatigue mat designed for use in environments where both staff comfort and hygiene standards are a priority. At 0.9 x 1.5 metres, it provides a practical standing area for single workstations — prep counters, service pass positions, wash-up stations, or any fixed point where staff are on their feet for extended periods.

In a working kitchen, fatigue builds quickly on hard tile or concrete flooring. A mat of this type helps reduce the physical strain of prolonged standing, which over the course of a busy service can make a measurable difference to staff comfort and sustained performance. The gel-foam construction provides underfoot cushioning without excessive give, meaning it supports posture without creating a slip or trip risk.

From a hygiene standpoint, the closed-cell material is an important practical detail. Liquids — whether water, cleaning chemicals, or food residue — cannot penetrate the surface, so the mat does not harbour bacteria internally. The antimicrobial properties of the material add a further layer of protection in environments subject to regular health and safety scrutiny. It can be cleaned down quickly in place, which suits high-throughput kitchens where deep cleans need to be fast.

• Closed-cell construction prevents liquid absorption and bacterial ingress
• Antimicrobial material suitable for food preparation environments
• Gel-foam cushioning reduces standing fatigue during long service periods
• Simple to clean in situ with standard kitchen cleaning procedures
• Solid construction with no drainage holes — suited to dry or low-liquid workstations

This size is well suited to single-operator workstations. For areas with greater footfall or wider coverage requirements, a larger format or multi-mat arrangement may be more appropriate. If you are unsure which size or configuration suits your kitchen layout, the team is happy to help you work it out.

The COBA Hygimat is a solid, closed-cell anti-fatigue mat designed for use in commercial kitchens, food preparation areas, and other environments where staff stand for extended periods and hygiene standards are non-negotiable. It is made from a gel-foam material that provides a cushioned standing surface without the structural softness that causes cheaper mats to compress and lose effectiveness over time.

In busy kitchen environments, staff regularly stand at prep benches, pass stations, or service counters for several hours at a stretch. Prolonged standing on hard flooring contributes to fatigue, which affects both comfort and concentration. A mat of this type helps reduce that strain during long shifts, and the closed-cell construction means liquids cannot penetrate the surface — an important consideration in any area exposed to water, cleaning chemicals, or food spillage.

The antimicrobial properties of the material make it a practical choice for food preparation settings, where bacterial growth on floor surfaces is a genuine hygiene concern. Key practical points worth noting:

• Closed-cell foam construction prevents liquid absorption and bacterial ingress
• Antimicrobial material suitable for food production and catering environments
• Solid mat design — no drainage holes, suited to drier prep and service areas
• Low-profile at 17mm — reduces trip risk at mat edges
• Straightforward to lift, clean, and reposition as needed

Because this is a solid mat rather than a drainage mat, it is best placed in areas where standing water is not a primary concern — dry prep benches, pass counters, reception desks, or retail service points rather than dishwash areas or wet fish prep. For higher-traffic sites or areas with significant wet conditions, a drainage-style anti-fatigue mat may be more appropriate.

If you are unsure which mat type suits a particular area of your kitchen or service environment, the team is happy to help you think it through before you order.

The COBA Hygimat is an anti-fatigue mat designed specifically for environments where both standing comfort and hygiene are ongoing concerns. Made from a gel foam material with antimicrobial properties, it is intended for use in commercial kitchens, food preparation areas, food retail counters, and similar workspaces where staff spend extended periods standing in one position.

In a busy kitchen environment, fatigue builds up steadily across a shift, particularly at fixed workstations — prep benches, dishwash areas, pass positions, and service counters. A mat that cushions underfoot reduces the physical strain that accumulates over a full service period. The drainage holes allow liquids to pass through rather than pool on the surface, which matters in wet areas where spills and splashes are routine.

Practical advantages of this mat in a commercial setting include:

• Antimicrobial material helps limit bacterial build-up on the mat surface
• Drainage holes prevent liquid pooling, reducing slip risk in wet work areas
• Gel foam construction provides consistent cushioning throughout a shift
• Black finish is practical for hiding general soiling in kitchen environments
• 0.9 x 1.5m footprint suits single-operator fixed workstations

At 17mm depth, the mat sits low enough to avoid creating a significant trip hazard at its edges, though as with any mat in a high-traffic kitchen, positioning and edge condition should be considered during installation. The 0.9 x 1.5m size is well suited to a single workstation. For longer runs — such as a full prep bench or an extended dishwash station — multiple mats or a larger-format option may be more appropriate.

This mat is commonly used in catering kitchens, food manufacturing, food retail, and healthcare settings. It is a practical choice for any fixed-standing workstation where staff welfare and surface hygiene both need to be addressed.

If you are unsure whether this size and format suits your layout, or if you need guidance on covering a larger area, the team is happy to talk it through.

The COBA Hygimat is an anti-fatigue mat designed for use in commercial food environments where staff are on their feet for extended periods. Made from a gel foam material with antimicrobial properties, it is built for areas where hygiene standards matter — food preparation, kitchen service stations, wash-up areas, and similar workspaces. The drainage holes allow liquids to pass through rather than pool on the surface, which is a practical consideration in any wet kitchen environment.

In a working kitchen, staff fatigue is a genuine operational concern. Standing on hard flooring for a full service shift increases fatigue and the risk of errors or injury. A mat of this type helps reduce that strain at individual stations — pass areas, prep benches, or any fixed working position where a member of staff spends a significant portion of their shift. The antimicrobial properties of the material also mean it is less likely to harbour bacteria in the underfoot environment, which matters in food production and catering settings subject to hygiene inspections.

• Gel foam construction reduces physical strain at standing workstations
• Drainage holes prevent liquid pooling on the mat surface
• Antimicrobial material helps maintain hygiene in food environments
• Manageable size suits individual workstations without obstructing kitchen flow
• Black finish is practical for everyday commercial use

At 600 x 900mm, this mat is sized for a single workstation rather than a full run of flooring. It is not a replacement for full kitchen anti-fatigue flooring systems in high-traffic zones, but it is well suited to targeted use at specific positions. It sits flat on a hard floor surface and requires no fixing or installation.

This mat suits catering operations of most sizes — from small kitchen brigades to larger food production environments — wherever there is a fixed standing workstation that would benefit from underfoot support. For sites needing to cover multiple stations or larger floor areas, it is worth considering whether multiple mats or a larger format option would better meet the requirement.

If you are unsure which mat size or specification is right for your kitchen layout, the team is happy to help you think it through.

The COBA Orthomat is a purpose-made anti-fatigue mat designed for use at standing desks and workstations where staff spend extended periods on their feet. Constructed from polythene, it provides a cushioned standing surface that helps reduce the physical strain associated with prolonged standing on hard floors.

In environments where staff work at raised desks or counters throughout the day — whether in an office, reception area, or catering administration setting — standing on an unforgiving floor surface contributes to fatigue, discomfort, and reduced concentration over time. A mat of this type sits beneath the user and provides enough give underfoot to make a practical difference across a full working day.

At 500mm wide by 800mm deep, it suits a single standing workstation comfortably without encroaching on surrounding floor space. The low-profile construction keeps it stable underfoot and reduces trip risk at the edges, and the polythene material is straightforward to wipe clean.

• Reduces foot and leg fatigue during extended standing periods
• Low-profile design minimises trip hazard at mat edges
• Polythene surface is easy to wipe down and maintain
• Sized to fit neatly beneath a single standing desk without excess
• Suitable for hard floor surfaces in office or light commercial environments

This size is well suited to individual workstations. For teams with multiple standing desk users, it is worth considering whether a larger mat or multiple units would better serve the space. If you are unsure which option fits your setup, we are happy to help you work it out.

This Jantex rubber floor mat is designed to reduce fatigue for staff who spend long periods standing in one place. Weighing 8.5kg and made from solid rubber, it sits flat and stays in position without curling or shifting during service — a common failing with lighter alternatives. The anti-slip underside is particularly important in wet areas where floors become hazardous.

In practice, this mat is most commonly used in front of sinks, dishwasher stations, behind bars, and in prep areas where staff are on their feet throughout a shift. The cushioned construction takes the edge off hard tile or concrete floors, which makes a real difference over the course of a long service. It can be lifted, hosed down, or machine washed, which keeps it hygienic without much effort.

• Cushioned rubber construction reduces leg and lower back fatigue during long shifts
• Anti-slip surface and underside for use in wet and splash-prone areas
• Easy to lift, wash, and return to service with minimal downtime
• Durable rubber material holds up to regular cleaning and heavy foot traffic
• Suitable for sinks, bar stations, dishwash areas, and general prep zones

One point worth noting: this mat is not suitable for use on Altro flooring, as the rubber backing can react with certain safety floor surfaces. If your kitchen or bar area uses Altro or a similar coated safety floor, you will need to confirm compatibility or consider an alternative mat type before purchasing.

At 1500 x 900mm it covers a practical working zone in front of most single or double sink stations. For longer runs — such as a full bar counter or extended prep line — multiple mats laid end to end is the usual approach. Smaller versions are available for tighter spaces.

The Coba Fatigue Relief K is a nitrile rubber anti-fatigue mat designed for commercial kitchen environments where staff spend long periods standing at a single station. It is constructed with drainage holes throughout the body of the mat to prevent water pooling, and a raised cross-grip textured surface to maintain slip resistance underfoot. Bevelled edges around the perimeter reduce the trip hazard that can arise with flat-edged matting in busy, high-traffic areas.

Anti-fatigue matting is easy to overlook during a kitchen fit-out, but it has a genuine effect on staff comfort and concentration across a full service shift. The nitrile rubber construction handles routine exposure to cooking oils, cleaning chemicals, and standing water without degrading — conditions that would quickly compromise a lower-grade mat. An anti-microbial treatment makes it a practical choice for wet zones such as pot wash, where hygiene management is a priority.

• Drainage holes prevent standing water in wet work areas
• Bevelled edges reduce trip risk in high-traffic zones
• Anti-microbial treatment supports hygiene in food preparation areas
• Nitrile rubber resists oils and common kitchen cleaning chemicals
• Compatible with commercial washing machines for routine cleaning

At 9mm thick, the mat sits low enough to avoid creating a meaningful step between surfaces, which matters in tighter kitchen layouts. The footprint suits a single workstation or pot wash bay well; larger or wider runs can be covered by laying multiple mats end to end.

This mat is well suited to cafés, pub kitchens, and smaller operations needing a practical, hygienically manageable solution for one or two key stations. For larger sites with multiple wet zones or higher-demand requirements, it is worth considering whether a heavier-duty matting option would be a better long-term fit. If you are unsure about coverage or how many mats your layout requires, the team is happy to talk it through with you.
