Lincat Plate Warmers

The Lincat PLH90 Panther is a floor-standing, plain-top static hot cupboard designed to hold plates and plated meals at the correct service temperature throughout a busy pass. Part of Lincat's well-established Panther range, it is a straightforward, robustly built unit intended for continuous daily use in a commercial kitchen environment.

A hot cupboard at the pass earns its keep by keeping service moving consistently from the first cover to the last. The PLH90's thermostatically controlled interior allows temperature to be set and held reliably, which matters most when service stretches over a long sitting or plate volume builds during a peak period. Full insulation throughout the cabinet helps the unit retain heat without drawing more energy than necessary, which keeps running costs measured across a full service week.

Day-to-day operational advantages include:

• Consistent thermostatic control to suit different plate types and service requirements
• Full insulation supporting stable internal temperatures and a lower energy draw
• Plain top providing a practical working surface at the pass
• Robust construction suited to continuous use across a demanding service schedule
• A straightforward interior that cleans down without difficulty at the end of service

As a static, floor-standing unit, the PLH90 requires a fixed position within the kitchen layout and a mains electrical supply. Adequate clearance around the cabinet is needed for safe daily operation. It is worth confirming available floor space and your pass configuration before ordering, particularly where the pass is already compact.

This model is well suited to restaurants, hotel kitchens, and pub operations running a steady plate volume through service. It sits comfortably in the mid-range of Lincat's hot cupboard offering. Sites handling significantly higher plate throughput, or operations that need mobile hot holding flexibility, may find a higher-capacity or differently configured model better matched to their requirements.

The Lincat PLH36 Panther is a floor-standing, static electric hot cupboard designed to warm crockery and hold plated meals at service temperature. It is a plain-top unit with no heated gantry or pass-through configuration — straightforward holding duty at the pass or in a back-of-house service area. Lincat has a long-established reputation in UK commercial catering, and the Panther range is among their most consistently specified hot cupboard lines for mid-volume operations.

In a working kitchen, the Panther holds up reliably across a full service. The fully insulated cabinet construction maintains an even internal temperature without significant heat loss — useful when plates are being pulled at pace through a long lunch or dinner sitting. The adjustable thermostat gives the kitchen team practical control, whether the unit is being used for plate warming earlier in the day or light meal holding during service. Three internal shelves provide a sensible working capacity, and the side-hinged door keeps access clear without obstructing the pass.

From an operational standpoint, the main practical advantages are:

• Consistent plate temperatures maintained from the first cover to the last
• Insulated construction helps keep energy running costs in check
• Adjustable feet allow the unit to sit level on uneven kitchen floors
• Plain top surface provides a useful staging area at the pass
• Thermostat adjustable to suit both plate warming and food holding duties

Installation is uncomplicated. There is no gas supply, no water connection, and no significant ventilation requirement. It does need a suitable electrical supply, and it is worth checking the footprint against your available pass or service area before ordering — particularly in tighter kitchen layouts where floor space is already committed.

The PLH36 is well suited to restaurants, pub kitchens, hotel dining rooms, and function catering venues running regular daily service at moderate cover volumes. For busier sites running extended services or larger covers, a higher-capacity model may be worth considering. Equally, smaller operations may find a more compact unit is sufficient without committing unnecessary floor space.

The Lincat PLH45 Panther is a floor-standing static hot cupboard built to handle two of the most routine holding tasks in a commercial kitchen: warming plates ahead of service and holding plated meals at safe serving temperatures until they reach the pass. It is a plain-top insulated cabinet with a side-hinged door, three adjustable shelves as standard, and levelling feet to sit steadily on uneven kitchen floors.

Plate temperature is one of those details that quietly affects the quality of every dish that leaves the kitchen. The PLH45 uses thermostatic control to hold a steady, adjustable internal temperature, allowing operators to dial in the right setting for plate warming or gentle meal holding without the risk of over-drying food or cycling the element unnecessarily. The fully insulated construction helps the cabinet retain heat across a full service, which also keeps running costs reasonable over time.

A few practical points are worth considering before installation:

• Static floor-standing unit — no castors fitted as standard, so kitchen layout should be planned accordingly
• Side-hinged door suits positions where access from the front only is available
• Full insulation limits surface heat transfer, which is useful in tighter pass areas
• Three shelves included, adjustable to suit varying plate sizes and holding volumes

The PLH45 is well suited to restaurants, pub kitchens, and hotel operations running a steady daily cover count where reliable plate warming is a routine requirement. It is a static unit, so operators needing mobility around the kitchen, or those running significantly higher volumes, may find a mobile or larger-capacity alternative a better fit for their workflow.

The Lincat PLH60 Panther is a floor-standing, static hot cupboard designed for commercial kitchens where plate warming and food holding are a routine part of every service. It runs on a standard electrical supply with no specialist installation beyond a level surface and sensible positioning relative to the pass, making it straightforward to introduce into most existing kitchen setups.

During service, a hot cupboard has two clear jobs: pre-warming crockery so food arrives at the pass at the right temperature, and holding plated dishes safely while they wait to go out. The PLH60 handles both consistently. The adjustable thermostatic control lets the operator dial in the right holding temperature for the menu — useful where resting meat or sauced dishes need more careful temperature management than basic plate warming alone.

For day-to-day kitchen operation, the PLH60 offers several practical advantages:

• Full insulation supports heat retention across a long service shift, helping to keep running costs in check
• Adjustable thermostat gives operators control to match different menu and service requirements
• Generous plate capacity handles consistent cover volumes without compromise
• Static construction with no moving parts keeps maintenance requirements low
• Plain-top design is easy to clean and free of unnecessary complexity

As a floor-standing static unit, the PLH60 needs a clear, level surface with adequate access for loading and unloading during service. Positioning relative to the pass and the natural flow of plates through the kitchen is worth thinking through carefully at the planning stage — decisions that seem minor early on can have a real effect on service efficiency once covers are moving.

The PLH60 is well suited to restaurants, hotels, and pub kitchens running regular lunch and dinner services where plate volume is consistent and reliable holding is a priority. For very high-volume operations, or where the unit needs to move between service areas, a larger-capacity or mobile holding solution may be worth considering.
